 Virtools
Engineering design review and visualization tool. (see my blog on the topic)

 WorldViz
3D development toolkit

 VR4Max
3D semi vr viewer of non-CAD design files

 Lattice 3D
3D development toolkit. Example, develop 3D assembly manual

VRcontext

VRcontext is the developer of vr plant and asset visualization applications. They have two main solutions 1) Walkinside and 2) ProcessLife.

Walkinside is the VR viewer for large engineering assets- i.e. production facilities. Here are some quick facts:
  1. Comes with a converter for 3D and laser scan file to .vr proprietary filetype
  2. Includes a highly functional avatar
  3. Includes optional plug-ins
  4. Compatible with most industry standard 3D CAD applications
  5. Subsea and potentially subsurface facilities visualization technology

ProcessLife is the integration platform. Basically it lets you integrate the vr model to other applications; this includes real-time solutions-- SCADA, DCS

Website brags:

  1. Ability to manage large complex assets
  2. Full immersion capabilities
  3. Easy to use
  4. Free trial available online: http://www.walkinside.com/trial-version/index.php

As always, love to hear from you.
